One Year Anniversary

Today is our one year anniversary. So for those of you that were not there, here is some pictures of the wedding. We were married in the Logan Temple. We held a ring ceremony before our reception in the Oregon Trail Center. We went on our honey moon to Park City, UT. Ok, know that I have given the outline of what happened one year ago I can say how this year has gone. It has honestly been the hardest year of my life, so far. We both have had a lot of trials we have had to deal with. I know that I couldn't have made it through without Cameron. He is my everything. It is so great being able to be around my best friend all the time. I love that we lived the American love story. I have had him there so long that I just plug him into all the memories he wasn't there for. He had been such a blessing in my life. I love him with all my hart and can't wait to see what another year brings for us.

What A Week

We had a huge week this week. First, on Tuesday we went out to Black Foot to have a cookout. On the way we blew a tire. So we had to buy four new tires and stay the night because they were closing to have them installed the next day. Then we drove home Wednesday. Nate had a legion game so we went over. I got an allergy attack, my eyes swelled shut and I couldn't breath, so I had to go home. Cameron had a game that night. We had a bat in our house, so I spent most of the night looking for it. I stayed up until my dad got home at 12:00 to take over. Thursday Cameron had to umpire the little league championship games. John's team won, they were the Indians, and he got three hits. After that Cameron helped get the girls soft ball tournament ready, he didn't get home till 1:30AM. Friday, we got up at 6:30am to go over to the field. We sold bats and helped manage the tournament. It was so busy. We got home about 11:00pm. Saturday, we got up again and went over to the park. We sold and managed. I left at 6:00pm to go to the Miss Bear Lake Valley pageant. Jamie was in it. She did so good! She ended up winning Miss Congeniality. Alexis Crane won, she also did very well, as did all the girls. After that we went to Paris to pack and then left for Pocatello at 10:30pm. What a week!

Happy Father's Day

I have had the good fortune to be blessed with great father figures. First, my dad is the most loving, caring, special, person I know. He has been great. He has taught me to be organized, honest, and to help when help is needed. He also has taught me a love for animals. We would spend hours when I was younger catching and taming barn kittens. He also taught me how to drive. He taught me that driving is meant to be done right, and that the laws are not to inconvenience us, but to keep us safe. He is also very patient. He taught me a love of the military, and what different machines were and what they did. He has always been there for me, and I love him for that. Second, I have a great father-in-law. He is a joker, but I love him for it, even though I get a little annoyed at times :) He is always ready to do anything for anyone. He also has let me tag along while hunting, and even gave up a good shot so I wouldn't cry if he killed the deer. He even let me come again after I chased some deer away yelling " Run deer, they are going to kill you!" He is very sweet and loves his family more than anything. He kills himself working to make a better life for his wife and the two kids still at home. He is great, and I am happy that he is in my family. Finally, I have been really close with all of my grandpas. They have each taught me invaluable lessons that I will continually apply to my life. They are and were such great people, and I am a better person for knowing them. I would also like to wish Cam a happy father's day. Even though we don't have any children yet, he is still so great with other people's. He has become an uncle to my little cousins and no one can tell them that we are not their aunt and uncle know we are married. He also will take anyone else's children under wing, teaching them anything from baseball to math. He is so great and will be an awesome dad

Little League

Thurseday Cameron had to umpire the little league games. Kasin, Christopher, and John (my cousins) play. Kasin and Christopher play in the minors on the same team, and John plays in the majors. Brett and Jake, my uncles, coach the "little boy's" team. It was fun to have someone to watch while Cameron umps. I think they really have fun playing. I say John's first big hit, a double over second base. The "little boys" also played very well. I also had a really fun time talking to the rest of my family.

REALLY!!

So, Wednesday it snowed. Ya, it really snowed, two inches. Kwinnae and I had to work out at the lake. The house we were cleaning didn't have heat so we froze. Cameron had to play a double header that night. It got warmer by the time he had to play, but it was still ridiculously cold for June. Needless to say, the garden didn't fair to well. Here are the sad pictures of our work.

Working in the Garden

About three weeks ago we helped my parents plant the gardens. Cameron even built them a new rock path. We took all day and planted flowers, tomatoes, onions, and peppers. It was so fun to put in a good days work outside. Then, my mom spent all week cleaning our house, deep cleaning. I helped her a little. It was fun with the whole family just helping each other.

The New Addition to the Family

Around the end of school my parents decided to get a dog. They drove all the way to Montana to get a standard poodle named Mya (Passions mya moon mystic). She is five years old, AKC papered, and apricot colored. She really just looks white with a frosting of orangey brown. She is very shy, and very clingy, especially to my dad. All in all we like her. Really cool of my parents to get a dog after I am out of the house :)

Where I Wish I Was

Last summer we took a trip to Alaska. It was awesome! We went there so Cameron could play baseball. I got to go along for the ride. Cameron and I were the chaperons of the team, so we stayed with the boys. It was no big deal since we hung out with most of them. Robert Matthews was our tour guide, and he got us our cabins. He used to live in Girdwood, where we stayed about 20 min from Anchorage where we played. Here is our bi-cabin complex and the bunk house.

We actually had a black bear on our porch one morning. Bailey saw it first and screamed. That scared it away, but it left a big mess.

A lot of the team didn't want to do anything, really, so Robert took Cameron, Rob, Eddie, Rass, Big Edd, one of Robert's friends, and me fishing in a secret local spot. We had to run down some railroad tracks and hide from a train to get there. We had a lot of fun. Rass caught the biggest fish. Robert caught the other one. Rob caught an anchor and a diaper, picture not taken because it was grose! Cam and Eddie didn't catch anything, successfully. I didn't fish because I was on wolf, yep wolf, patrol. Robert's brother saw one there the day before we went fishing. I was on patrol because I am a good shot with a gun, I guess. I don't think so, but I did beat Nate in a shooting contest. I really think they just didn't want to share the fishing poles. Another day we all, all the team and coach and his family and Robert and Big Edd and some of Robert's brothers, went fishing on the Russian River. I got rocked by a huge salmon, literally it kept me on a rock and would try and attack me if I moved. We had to cut our fishing short because two grizzly cubs crashed our party. I have a picture of one of them, but it isn't very good because I was really far away.

We went to church in Girdwood at the LDS/Lutheran chapel. It was beautiful. They were such a small ward. They were excited to actually have a lot of boys to help pass the sacrament. I had a hard time paying attention to the lesson because the view was so beautiful.
We all went on a tram ride at the Alyeska resort, the ski resort just above Girdwood. It was so funny to watch Cameron on the ride up and down, he is so scared of heights. The view was amasing. A lot of the boys hiked up to the glacier, we didn't it was too far up for our liking. You can jump off were I am standing and paraglide down, Cameron wouldn't let me but it would have been cool.

We had to drive into Anchorage everyday to play ball. We drove 20 min along the Old Seaward Highway, one of the most dangerous in the US it turns out. It was right along the coast. It was beautiful so I didn't mind the drive at all.
The real reason we were there was to play baseball and play we did. We ended up winning the North West Regional title. It was really cool and a great experience..
